Dolce Vita

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026.

This policy explains how Dolce Vita handles personal data for:

  • the marketing website (this site), and
  • the Dolce Vita mobile apps for iOS and Android, including the API that powers them.

Dolce Vita is a personal daily agenda: timeline, inbox, tasks and events, tags, goals and projects, focus sessions, analytics, and an in-app assistant.

1. Who we are

Dolce Vita is operated by the author linked in the site footer (@svnrnns). For privacy questions, contact them there.

2. What this website collects

Almost nothing.

  • A locale cookie remembers the language you picked (English, Español, Français).
  • A theme cookie remembers light or dark.
  • Standard server logs from hosting may include IP addresses for a short time, for security and uptime. We do not use them to build a profile.

There is no account, no newsletter form, no analytics pixel required to read these pages, and no payment on this website.

3. Account and identity (apps)

To use the apps you sign in with:

  • Sign in with Apple,
  • Sign in with Google, or
  • email and password (sign-in for existing accounts).

We store a profile on our servers: name, email (when available), optional avatar URL, timezone, language, notification preferences, onboarding status, and whether the account is Premium.

When you use Apple or Google, we verify their identity token with Apple or Google. We store the provider subject id and profile fields we need to keep you signed in. We do not store the raw identity token.

We issue an API access token (Sanctum) stored securely on your device. Signing out revokes that token on the server.

4. Agenda and product data (apps)

Synced to our servers and tied to your account:

  • Tasks and events — titles, schedule, duration, colour, icon, reminders, completion, archive, recurrence, subtasks, linked goals/projects, tags
  • Tags, goals, and projects
  • Custom reminders — message, weekdays, time window, and interval
  • Postpone history used for analytics and streaks
  • Chat conversations and messages with the in-app assistant, including tool calls the assistant makes on your agenda
  • Push device tokens (Expo) and a short delivery log so we do not send the same reminder twice
  • Daily chat usage counters (for free and Premium limits)

Kept on the device only (not uploaded as agenda content):

  • Focus timer / stopwatch sessions and related local settings
  • Theme, haptics, timeline display preferences, and similar UI settings
  • Local notification schedules for the focus timer

Analytics screens are computed from your agenda. We do not ship a third-party product-analytics or advertising SDK in the apps.

5. Voice input

Optional voice input for the assistant uses on-device speech recognition. Audio is processed on the device to produce text; that audio is not uploaded to Dolce Vita. The resulting text is handled like any other chat message (see below).

6. AI assistant and OpenAI

If you use the in-app assistant, your messages, recent conversation context, and tool results about your agenda (summaries of tasks, goals, tags, analytics slices, and so on) are sent to OpenAI so the model can reply and, when you allow it, change your agenda through tools.

We store conversations on our servers so you can reopen them. OpenAI processes that content as our processor for the assistant feature. Do not put secrets in chat that you would not want a language-model provider to see.

The assistant is limited to helping with your Dolce Vita agenda. Quotas apply (stricter on free accounts; higher daily limits on Premium).

7. Notifications

With your permission, we register an Expo push token and may send:

  • day-review prompts,
  • task/event reminders,
  • incomplete-item follow-ups,
  • custom reminder alerts.

You can turn notification categories off in the app. Local focus-timer alerts stay on the device and do not go through our push pipeline.

8. Premium

Premium is a feature of your account. When in-app purchases are available, they are sold through the App Store or Google Play, not on this website. Apple or Google process payment details under their terms; we only learn whether your account should have Premium access (including during a free trial on the yearly plan, when offered). Billing rules for trials and renewals are described in the Terms of Service.

Deleting your Dolce Vita account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. You must manage or cancel billing in the store. After account deletion we may keep anonymized purchase and subscription event records (amounts, dates, product, and store identifiers without your name, email, or account id) for aggregate billing tracking.

9. Widgets (iOS)

If you enable widgets, the app may share a short timeline snapshot and the credentials needed to complete items from the widget with the iOS widget extension via an App Group on your device.

10. Export and deletion

Export (Premium): you can export selected domains (tasks, events, tags, goals, focus, postpone history, preferences) as JSON or CSV from the device. Chat transcripts are not included in that export today.

Data deletion: in the Danger zone section of the account and settings screen you can use the Clear all data button. This permanently deletes your agenda (tasks and events), tags, goals, projects, reminders, and chat history, among other related content. It does not delete your account from the system: you stay signed in with the same access, profile, and account preferences.

Account deletion: in the same Danger zone you can use Delete account. After a double confirmation, this permanently deletes your account, profile, sign-in identities, agenda, chat, push tokens, and related personal data. Anonymized purchase and subscription event records may remain for aggregate billing tracking and are no longer linked to you. Deleting the account does not cancel App Store or Google Play billing; manage subscriptions in the store. For help, you can also write to svnrnns@gmail.com.

Signing out clears local session data on the device but does not delete your account or server data.

11. Cookies (website)

Locale and theme cookies are strictly functional. They are not advertising cookies. You can delete them in the browser; the site will fall back to defaults.

13. Children

Dolce Vita is not directed at children. Do not use the apps if you are under the age required by your country’s rules for this kind of service (typically 13+ or 16+).

14. International processing

Servers and processors (including OpenAI) may be located outside your country. By using the apps you understand your data may be transferred to those locations under the safeguards those providers offer.

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes may also be noted in the apps or on this site.
